E16 Restoration

Postby mrfixit » Fri Jun 28, 2013 2:02 am

Here's some pictures of the E16 that I recently finished restoring. The tractor was in pretty decent condition when I bought it so it didn't need much other than a complete strip down, sandblasting and repaint.
I put in new motor brushes, bearings and belts and fixed any issues with the stock control system. A couple new relays and contactors and everything works fine.
It really drives nice now.
On to the E15 now!
Thanks for all the info here and the old site and the My electraks site.
Ken

Looks great! Gotta love the later machines with the simplified electronics. Easy to restore and to keep running reliably.

Dude,

We are going to have to start referring to you as the Henry Ford of Elec-Traks!! You pump out these tractors with rapid-fire speed.

There is a 1,00,000 sf vacant building not far from here. Should I tell the owner you are interested? :D

Just like Ford said,"You can have it any color you want, as long as it's black", I will build you an Elec-trak any color you want,as long as its yellow.
I think I will pass on the 1,000,000 sq ft building Steve. I would get lost in there!
