What is the difference in dimensions of the sleeve hitch between the large frame, front mount and mid mount tractors?
Thanks

My understanding is the sleeve hitch was only made for the large frame models. Mid or front mount does not matter as long as it is a large frame.

On my build list!

All the large-frame tractors used the same sleeve hitch, (AP50). The only exception was the E12M & New Idea which used the (AP49). It differs from the Sleeve Hitch (AP50) for large-framed tractors only by the additional two holes drilled into the side of it to allow it to attach to the frame of the E12M. The E12M had to have the sleeve hitch mounted deeper into the back of the tractor as the bracket it attached to is mounted closer toward the back of the tractor to start with on the E12M. Not all Elec-Trak Sleeve Hitches were produced with these extra set of holes For more information, see the Sleeve Hitch (AP50) under the "Farming" section of the "Attachments" tab of the pull down menu on my site. Seems like a simple thing to drill your own but G.E. did indeed give it a part number all it's own. Check the pub listed there...it talks of using holes "A" or "B" depending on the model.

The mounting point on the tractor is in a different spot, E12M and NI large frame models have the mounting barket near the rear of the tractor.
The front mount large frame GE tractors the mounting bracket is located more forward.

I don't want to cause problems, but I think the sleeve hitch is designed wrong. Ok, Ok, it works for most implements except the plow. It's to narrow so it hits the frame on the tractor so you can't lift the plow high enough to clear the ground when you drive the tractor into the plow furrow. High centering the back tires. Unsticking a E20 isn't fun  . In my E20 restore thread I have a picture of the redesigned hitch my Dad had made. I'll post more pictures and specs.

E20 bought brand new by my Dad
E15 bought for parts but runs great

Causing problems? No you are fixing problems! I will admit that the sleeve hitch i have for my Deere is further out and in two pieces. Love to see your redesign. Write up some sketches and we will post them.
