Fancy Rims

Postby mfrerking » Thu Jan 31, 2013 3:00 pm

I am searching for some snazzy aluminum rims to put on my current project. Does anyone have a good lead on where to locate them?

I have found standard polished aluminum for the rear tires that tractor pullers often use. But, I want something different than the deep dish style.

There are some 12" possibilities used on golf carts. But, then trying to find matching 8" rims for the front is a problem.

Check out hwy8's user gallery. He has an awesome front wheel mod that may give you more options with rims.

Why not have your front & rear rims chromed? Might be cheaper than new rims.

Thanks,

If you lust for the alloy presentation, try searching some ATV websites. Those guys like the "bling" factor as much as anyone.

Thanks guys.

I know there is a chrome powder coating available. So, that is an option.

Looking for something similar to the back rims used on the Mean Green zero turn.

If I can locate something, will likely have to use different hubs on the transaxle and also use a hub on the front spindle.

One would think something is available to garden tractor pullers...

I posted a question on the golf cart site - maybe someone there will come up with a source. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/golf-carts-parts/

Google - "alloy ATV rims" and tons of choices come up. Even choices for golf carts.

Thanks,
