Not very common, but if someone has a set please email me. Getting ready to restore my "I" series tractors. Thanks!

My understanding is the front rims are the narrow rims painted black. That is what I have on my I5 and will be putting on the I2. The tires are 8 inch trailer tires which can be had sort cheap. Think I paid $25 for a set.

I never looked at them that close but now that you mention it, that would make sense! I do have a spare set of narrow rims I can use however I would still like a pair of the original I5 tires if anyone has a set sitting around. I'd even be willing to buy a new set and trade them even for an original vintage pair in good shape- weird as that sounds. Good opportunity if someone just wants a new set of tires on their I5.

V61 VRESTEIN 16x6.50-8
Not original to any GE tractor but if your going to buy a new set you might want to consider these.
6py tire, load rating 760lbs, they steer better than a turf tire does winter or summer without marking up the grass like a tri rib does.

I have a set of reproduction tr-ribs from miller on my deere 140. I have never had any issue with marking up the grass, although i do not have a perfect lawn. Lots of other guys shoot for the V61's and are happy with them. I believe you need to use tubes with them as they are a metric tire. I will also say that i have seen them in person and personally i do not care much for how they look on tractors with a narrow front "face". They are a wide tire.... Some guys like that look.

George you might want to post your request on the tufts list. When i was looking for rear I5 tires i got a few bites from people on the list.

George,

I don't think I would mind to trade a set of wheels and tires off of my I-5. I'll have to check the condition of mine at home, but if you're in dire need, I think I would be willing if I received a good set in return. All I care about is having a set on there to use.
